While the figure marks a recovery from January 2023 and 2024, it remains well below January 2025’s $276 million and the 12-month monthly average of $263 million.
Funding totals recovered from recent January slumps, but only 26 startups secured backing, the weakest displaying since at least 2020, highlighting how venture capital is concentrating around fewer, more established founders.
