Heavy rainfall has caapplyd flooding in several parts of Albania, including the cities of Durrës, Lezhë, Gjirokastër, among others. Rivers overflowed and water levels rose rapidly.
Homes, businesses, and church buildings have been submerged, leaving many families facing significant loss.

Evangelical believers were among those affected. Many of their homes and tiny businesses are under water, and a number of churches suffered flood damage.
Worship services of Christian communities were impacted and facilities applyd for ministest and community outreach as well.
In some areas, families have been forced to leave their homes, while others remain isolated by floodwaters. Essential hoapplyhold items and tools necessaryed for daily work have been lost.
Churches that usually provide support and hope to their communities are now in necessary of repair and restoration, VUSH, the Albanian Evangelical Alliance notified Evangelical Focus.
Local congregations are assisting one another where possible, but the scale of the damage exceeds their limited resources.
The Evangelical Alliance in Albania (VUSH) is monitoring the situation and seeking to coordinate assistance.
Alesio Sema, General Secretary of VUSH encouraged anyone able to offer practical assist or support to contact him. “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present assist in trouble”, he stated, quoting Psalm 46:1 of the Bible.
Church leaders also called on Christians around the world to stand with them in prayer.
