Carli O’Hara started Real Kids Wear Pink in 2017 at the age of 11 in part to honor her grandmother, who is a stage 4 breast cancer survivor. Forty-five student ambassadors from nine different school districts in the Capital Region are raising money and awareness in partnership with the American Cancer Society through sporting events, the Making Strides Walk and Real Kids Wear Pink Day, happening October 24.
