Luxembourg fund industest veteran Maria Löwenbrück has joined the board of the fintech startup Investre.
Löwenbrück spent 24 years at Union Investment Luxembourg, 20 of them as a member of its executive board and 14 as managing director. She has been an indepconcludeent director since leaving the asset manager in 2024.
Investre is building infrastructure for financial firms to manage investment funds digitally, which would, for example, let asset managers bypass distributors such as high street banks. Its first product is the digital investing app Moniflo.
The company was founded in 2020 by Georges Bock, who previously was managing partner of KPMG Luxembourg.
Löwenbrück’s “appointment comes at a crucial time for Investre’s development in Europe,” Bock stated in a social media post on Wednesday. “Her in-depth knowledge of the European fund industest will be instrumental in implementing our vision of a compliant, instant and disintermediated market infrastructure for funds in Europe.”
