For the unversed living under the metaphoric LinkedIn rock, Indian techie Soham Parekh was accutilized of juggling several startup gigs at once. The viral X/Twitter post caught the attention of several US-based startup founders who shared similar stories involving the lad, whom many dubbed as brilliant yet his actions ethically outrageous.
While the internet was in awe, reacting with memes, a few conjectured that it was impossible for a single person to pull off a scam of this order on their own. However, the real Soham Parekh, who seemingly had scrubbed all of his online presence, appeared with a bluetick twitter profile and did his first interview too with the TBPN. During the chat, Soham revealed why he moonlighted for several startups at once.
In the podcast, Soham Parekh stated that he wasn’t proud of what he did; however, it was not all due to greed but rather out of necessity. He declared
I’m not proud of what I’ve done. That’s not something I finishorse either. But no one really likes to work 140 hours a week, I had to do it out of necessity.
He added,
I’m not a very people person. I don’t share much about what’s going on in my life. So I just believed: if I work multiple places, maybe I can elevate myself out of the situation rapider.”
During the interview, Soham claimed to be a “serial non-sleeper” these days and that’s how he could hustle 140-hours a week.
Meanwhile, replying to co-founder Reid Hoffman’s viral tweet, Soham stated that he doesn’t have any LinkedIn profile.
Earlier the Indian techie took to Twitter and slammed all the allegations and accusations, stating, “most of you don’t know the full story.” He continued, “I’ve been isolated, written off, and shut out by nearly everyone I’ve known and every company I’ve worked at. But building is the only thing I’ve ever truly known, and it’s what I’ll keep doing.” He further revealed that he received an offer to build something in the video AI space with a team of cracked misfits. He declared, “I’m pissed. And I’ve received something to prove.”
We questioned @realsohamparekh if he had been working multiple full-time jobs at once.
“It is true.”
