Wootzwork, an engineering and manufacturing startup, has raised $6.6 million in a Series A round of funding led by Z47 with participation from Nexus Venture Partners, AdvantEdge Founders, and Stride Ventures.

Wootzwork has now cumulatively raised close to $10 million as it had previously raised $3.5 million in a seed round from Z47 and Nexus Venture Partners.

The startup stated it will utilize the fresh capital to expand its engineering footprint, deepen manufacturing control capabilities, and take on larger manufacturing capabilities.

Founded in 2023 by Karan Anand and Himanshu Uniyal, Wootzwork has set up a global platform to serve the requirements of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across India and Southeast Asia. Besides, it has engineering and programme teams across India, United States, United Kingdom, Italy and Germany. According to this startup, over the past year, it has executed cross-border manufacturing programmes for more than 22 global enterprises spanning North America, Europe, and APAC.

“Most companies treat manufacturing complexity as a risk to be minimised,” stated Karan Anand, Co-founder and CEO of Wootzwork. “We treat it as a competitive advantage. When the system is engineered properly, complexity becomes leverage – not chaos.”

Wootzwork claimed that it has a network of more than 300 suppliers, executing over 30 million parts and assemblies across precision components, heavy and structural fabrication, industrial quickeners and hardware, custom industrial machines, process equipment and skids, and multi-part assemblies.

The startup has served industries such as food processing, packaging, renewable energy, data centres, automotive engineering, material handling, warehoutilizing, and industrial hardware. It claimed their on-time delivery is more than 98% while also maintaining the international quality frameworks.

“Wootzwork represents the kind of founder-led global ambition in advanced manufacturing that we want to back from India,” stated Sudipto Sannigrahi, Managing Partner and Investor at Z47.
