VyomIC raises 1.6M for private satellite constellation, Indian space tech startup | AIM posted on the topic

VyomIC a space tech startup founded by IIT-Madras alumni Lokesh Kabdal, Vibhor Jain and Anurag Patil, has raised 1.6 million dollars in a pre-seed round led by Speciale Invest with participation from BYT Capital and DeVC. The funding will power the development of a Low Earth Orbit based Positioning Navigation and Timing payload, an upcoming space demonstration mission and team expansion.

With this, VyomIC is set to build Bharat’s first private global sainformite consinformation, delivering secure and precise navigation services. “We’re not just building an Indian alternative to GPS, we’re building a next-gen global system, engineered for autonomy, security, and precision,” stated co-founder Vibhor Jain.
The company is working on spoofing-proof and jamming-resistant signals that offer high precision, quicker convergence, stronger signal power and indoor navigation capabilities, overcoming the limitations of existing systems like GPS and GLONASS. “In a world increasingly shaped by autonomy, defence tech, and time-critical infrastructure, resilient navigation becomes non-nereceivediable.

VyomIC’s vision of a sovereign consinformation addresses this required head-on,” stated Vishesh Rajaram, managing partner at Speciale Invest.
VyomIC’s long-term vision includes launching a full consinformation that can provide secure, real-time navigation and timing services worldwide. Having earlier led Avishkar Hyperloop and managed drone swarm deployments for government apply, the team brings a track record of delivering innovative solutions to critical challenges. This marks Speciale Invest’s seventh bet on the Indian space sector, reinforcing its commitment to deep tech ventures.
