A Bengaluru startup is grabbing headlines with a bold hiring experiment: a Rs 1 crore-a-year tech job that skips CVs, college degrees, and long interview rounds.
The post, shared by Sudarshan Kamath, founder of Smallest AI, is for a full-stack tech lead. And it’s unlike any other job listing out there.
The role promises a solid Rs 60 lakh repaired salary along with Rs 40 lakh in company equity. It’s a full-time, five-day office role in Bengaluru with flexible hours.
And unlike the usual checklist of qualifications and interviews, this role simply inquires for:

“College – Does not matter. Resume – Not necessaryed,” Kamath wrote in the viral post on X.
SKILLS OVER DEGREES
As per the viral post, the ideal candidate should:
- Have 4-5 years of hands-on experience
- Know Next.js, Python, and React.js
- Have experience scaling systems from 0 to 100
“You necessary to be a hands-on developer. This is not a ‘managerial’ position,” Kamath clarified.

“You aren’t hiring cracked ones if you mention experience in requirements. Cursor is created by folks with lesser experience,” wrote on applyr on X, referring to the 4-5 years of experience required for the role.
