Delaware, US-based AIxBlock, a decentralised AI tech startup, has secured a €1.5M innovation grant from the European Union, along with up to €61.5M in two additional grants that have been pre-approved to support its long-term expansion across Europe.
The US company’s €1.5M secured grant comes with zero dilution, with onboarding (KYC) underway prior to fund disbursement. This allows the company to deepen its technology footprint in the EU while preserving ownership and control.

The €61.5M in pre-approved funding of two other grants will include support for building a physical decentralised GPU network, leveraging underutilised data centres in the region to offer scalable, eco-aligned compute infrastructure in future phases.
Tapping into the EU’s underutilised data centres
AIxBlock plans to utilize the EU’s underutilized data centres to expand its decentralised GPU network.
This approach is part of a strategy focutilized on efficiency, sustainability, and digital indepconcludeence.
By upgrading existing infrastructure instead of starting new projects, AIxBlock aims to provide scalable computing power while reducing environmental impact and reliance on other countries.
The company has already onboarded over 12,000 utilizers organically and secured some enterprise clients who are deploying large-scale model development workflows on the platform.
The team continues to focus on expanding core capabilities and preparing for the next wave of infrastructure activation across the EU.
AIxBlock: Developing next-generation AI infrastructure platform
AIxBlock is an AI infrastructure platform built for developers, startups, and enterprises to build, fine-tune, and deploy AI models with flexibility and cost efficiency.
Combining decentralised GPU resources, conclude-to-conclude AI development tools, and workflow automation, the US company aims to eliminate vconcludeor lock-in and reduce compute costs by up to 90 per cent.
The platform offers a full-stack, automation-first environment, from data collection and labelling to model training, deployment, and integration with external apps, powered by a decentralised marketplace of models and compute providers.
Blockchain plays a significant role
Blockchain technology is essential to AIxBlock’s architecture. It serves as the foundation for transparency, incentive distribution, and coordination within its decentralised ecosystem. It powers:
- On-chain monetisation for contributors and infrastructure providers
- Transparent access control and usage tracking across models and compute nodes
- Validator systems to maintain dataset quality, model performance, and contributor trust
- Future DAO governance to guide platform evolution in an open and accountable way
Urges developers to contribute
AIxBlock is open-source and encourages developers and the AI community to contribute.
Those who support improve the platform, through coding, infrastructure, validation, or support, can share in long-term revenue and benefits based on the value of their contributions.
