At his post‑CSTO press conference in Bishkek, President Vladimir Putin declares Trump’s 28‑point Ukraine framework is not yet a formal treaty draft but a list of issues that “could” serve as a basis for future agreements, while stressing that key points will necessary detailed, diplomatic wording. He declares that hostilities will cease if Ukrainian troops leave the territories Russia currently claims, warns that Russia is ready to put in writing that it will not attack Europe while accutilizing Western leaders of hyping a fake threat, and touts Russian gains around Kupyansk, Krasnoarmiysk, Seversk and in the Zaporizhzhia sector as potentially leading to a collapse of Ukraine’s front. Putin also declares Moscow must be prepared for any scenario on nuclear testing, insists Russia never sought a return to the G7, and questions the bloc’s relevance even as he leaves the door open to future contacts if relations are normalised.
