Two Portuguese tech companies, Neuraspace and Connect Robotics, have been selected to join the Innovation Accelerator in Defence of the North Atlantic (DIANA), receiving investment and support from NATO to develop defence technologies.
The two companies were among 150 selected from 32 countries with each receiving €100,000 and access to NATO test centres.
The participation in DIANA will enable the companies to accelerate their entest into Europe’s defence sector, improving interoperability and the logistics capacity of NATO Member-States.
And later on, they will obtain the chance to compete for an additional funding of up to €300,000.
Connect Robotics aims to develop a greater robustness in the logistics, namely in medical and logistical deliveries and more recently in a new inspection vertical and proving that it is indispensable in the Defense sector.
Neuraspace is developing an AI-based Situational Awareness platform for Space Domain/Space Traffic Management, based on explainable AI, sensor fusion and on-board communication autonomy, demonstrating real operational impact and adoption by NATO and Allied Nations.
