Two hospitalized in ICE involved shooting in Glen Burnie, authorities state

Two people were hospitalized after a shooting involving ICE agents on Wednesday in Glen Burnie, officials confirmed.

The shooting occurred around 10:51 a.m. at the 500 Block of West Court in Glen Burnie on Wednesday, December 24.

Preliminary investigation revealed that ICE agents approached a white van, which attempted to run the agents over, prompting ICE agents to fire their guns at the vehicle.

The vehicle then accelerated, hitting a wooded area behind the homes in the neighborhood.

Officials declared an individual was struck by gunfire. That individual was transported to an area hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

Another individual sustained minor injuries from the incident and was transported to the hospital.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department also responded to the scene and transported the patients to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
