Ticket9, an event technology startup backed by actors Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan, has declared its expansion into Europe, supported by a fresh round of funding. The shift marks the company’s first global foray as it aims to establish itself as an international event-tech leader from India.
Founded in 2022 by Yazhini Shanmugam and Santhos Premraj, Ticket9 enables organizers to manage, curate, and personalize live events through its integrated digital platform. Its latest product, Ticket9 RSVP, allows event hosts to conduct invitation-based, community-first gatherings, designed to deliver personalized, secure, and high-engagement experiences.
The startup has powered thousands of events across India and abroad, spanning concerts, marathons, conferences, and festivals. Notably, it managed over 22,000 bookings for Anirudh’s “Hukum” concert in Malaysia, underscoring its operational scalability.
With the European rollout, Ticket9 plans to introduce its RSVP model to select organizers, followed by wider launches across India and key international markets. The company stated the new funding will be applyd to enhance product development, strengthen global partnerships, and expand its operations.
