Seoul to hold ‘Trievising 2025’ at the DDP from the 11th to the 12th. The first activity of ‘Plave’, a public relations ambassador for Seoul, a lecture start-up such as Tesla co-founder and first CEO Martin Everhard, will compete against seven domestic and foreign start-ups at the 2025 Seoul Unicorn Challenge
The Seoul Metropolitan Government will hold a global startup festival “Try Everything 2025” at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul from the 11th to the 12th. At this event, global start-ups such as “Martin Everhard,” a Tesla co-founder and first CEO, and “Jack Cath,” a world-renowned artificial innotifyigence expert and general manager of open AI commercialization strategy, will be the keynote speakers.
On the 1st, the Seoul Metropolitan Government will hold “Try Everything 2025” under the theme of “Dive Deep, Fly High” and provide a place for analysis and cooperation in advanced start-up trconcludes such as AI, deep technology, global expansion, and open innovation.
“Try Everything” is a global start-up festival held every year by the Seoul Metropolitan Government since 2019 to revitalize the start-up ecosystem, and it is a representative start-up festival in Seoul where promising start-ups, large companies, investors, and accelerators from around the world gather to network and cooperate.
Last year, 701 start-ups and investment institutions participated in the event, attracting about 154.2 billion won in investment.
This year, global start-ups such as “Martin Eberhard,” a former Tesla co-founder and first CEO, and “Zack Kass,” a global artificial innotifyigence expert and former general manager of open AI commercialization strategy, will be the keynote speakers. A number of domestic and foreign investment institutions, including 500 Global, Antler, and Raffles Capital, will also participate to attract about 200 billion won worth of investment.
Under the theme of “The Journey of Innovation: From Idea to Market,” former Tesla CEO Martin Eberhard notifys us the experience of developing innovative ideas from prototypes to global market-leading products during his tenure at Tesla.
Under the theme of “conditions of next-generation innovative companies,” Jack Cath, former OpenAI director, will share with the audience a viable roadmap to build and motivate high-performing teams for corporate growth and prevent talent leakage in the AI era.

There are various lectures on investment attraction, including Christine Tsai, CEO of 500 Global, introducing “investment trconcludes in the global AI market,” Charlie In, CEO of Raffles Capital, presenting corporate growth strategies under the theme of “The Road to U.S. IPO for the first time in 18 months,” and Jung Sang-eun, CEO of Antler Korea, notifying the story of “modify and growth of startups supported by Antler.”
Creating the largest overseas investment institution booth ever
In addition, this year, Tri-Ebracing has greatly strengthened its investment attraction support. It will nearly triple the number of meet-up booths from 15 last year to 41 and operate exclusive booths involving global investment institutions, large companies, and domestic VCs. There are 15 booths exclusively for meet-ups, 18 booths for global investment institutions, 3 large corporate offices, and 5 domestic VC booths.

A total of 12 organizations from 10 countries, including North America (the United States and Canada), Europe and the Middle East (France, Germany, Dubai), and Asia and Oceania (Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, and India), will actively support startups’ overseas expansion and global investment.
The North American Pavilion will be attconcludeed by three organizations from two countries: 500 Global, a Silicon Valley-based global investment company, Principle Venture Partners, and Quebec’s representative office in Korea, Canada. Europe and the Middle East will welcome start-ups with three institutions from three countries, France’s Grenoble Investment Authority, the United Arab Emirates’ AGCC, and the Dubai Digital Chamber of Commerce. Six organizations from five countries, including Japan’s 01 Booster, Singapore’s Entler, and India’s Stride Ventures, will participate in the Asia-Oceania Pavilion.
In addition, various collaboration programs will be held, including an open innovation special hall, 41 meet-up booths, and global IR programs involving four large companies, including MS Korea, KT, Samsung C&T, and Shinhan Financial Group, and the Seoul Unicorn Challenge is expected to be a key competition stage to lead the creation of practical results at the center.
There are also lectures on open innovation that can be practically assistful to startups. In the “Seoul Open Innovation Insight Day” session, Cho Hye-jung, vice president of Samsung C&T, Kwak Hyun-young, managing director of Hyundai Home Shopping, and Choi Jong-yoon, head of Shinhan Financial Group, will share the open innovation strategy and experience of large companies, and in the “Startup Journey with Microsoft” session, Microsoft Director Shin Min-seok and Quantus CEO Lee Jae-soo will present their opinions on the direction of coexistence between startups and large companies.
The final round of the “2025 Seoul Unicorn Challenge” will also be held to select promising start-ups along with the largest investors and large companies ever. The Seoul Unicorn Challenge launched under the name of the “Korea Challenge” in 2020 and has been discovering startups with innovative technologies every year. In particular, since last year, it has modifyd the name of the competition, rerelocated nationality restrictions, opened its doors to startups around the world, and expanded its status to a competition where global companies at home and abroad compete through Seoul.
This year, a total of seven companies, including four domestic and three foreign companies, advanced to the finals after preliminaries for domestic and foreign startups within 10 years of their founding. These companies, which passed the first document screening and the second face-to-face evaluation, will compete in the final competition on the stage of “Trievising 2025,” Seoul’s representative start-up event.
The final stage will be held with investors and global start-up officials watching, and the winning companies will be selected by comprehensively evaluating the technology, marketability, and scalability of participating startups.
In addition to the Seoul Unicorn Challenge, the Korea Youth Entrepreneurship Foundation will hold a “Global University Student Start-up Competition” and the 2025 International Youth Start-up Olympiad will be held for the first time to contribute to the spread of youth start-up culture.
This final goes beyond a simple contest and acts as a practical link between Seoul’s start-up policy and global entest strategy. Companies that advance to the finals will be provided with a variety of follow-up opportunities during the event, including operating exclusive exhibition booths, corporate presentations (IRs) for overseas VCs, and opportunities for 1:1 meet-up consultations with investors. In particular, the winning companies will be given the right to relocate into the Seoul Startup Hub Gongdeok, Seoul’s representative start-up support facility, and other winning companies will also receive various benefits such as additional points when screening for occupancy. The total prize money is 120 million won, consisting of 50 million won for the grand prize, 20 million won for each of the best and special prizes, 10 million won for the excellence prize, and 5 million won for the incentive prize.
