Support for global expansion into ‘Comup 2025’ Based on overseas expansion capabilities, not the stage of investment for 20 companies entering the US, Japan, China, and EU for a month until August 22nd
The Korea Startup Forum (KOSPO), the organizer of the global startup festival COMEUP, will recruit startups to participate in COMEUP 2025 for a month until August 22. Come Up 2025 will be held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul from December 10-12.
“Comup Stars,” an innovative start-up discovery and support program conducted by Come Up every year, has drastically abolished the league classification based on cumulative investment attraction such as runners, rookies, and rockets from this year and reorganized it into an outbound focus focutilized on the possibility of realizing overseas expansion.
A total of 20 startups will be selected, five from four regions in the United States, Japan, China, and Europe. In each region, Pen Ventures (US), Shinhan Futures Lab Japan (Japan), E-Land China EIV (China), and Start-Two Group (Europe) will participate as representative partners to operate customized programs such as localization strategy consulting, PoC (conceptual demonstration), connection with local investors and partners, and global pitching opportunities.
In addition, the final selection companies will be provided with intensive support packages such as IR pitching at the main com-up event, opportunities to participate in exhibition booths, invitations to overseas business trips next year, and support for media promotion. Each cooperative houtilize will also provide specialized support for each region, such as linking its startup support programs, providing shared offices, and inviting pitching competitions.
It will be recruited from the 21st to August 22nd and will announce the final 20 places on September 17th after document and interview evaluation. Starting startups will participate in the BEXCO workshop in Busan from September 22nd to 23rd, and then start accelerating programs by region for two months from October to November.
Han Sang-woo, chairman of the Korea Startup Forum, declared, “This year’s Come-Up Stars is not just an exmodify, but an actual program that focutilizes on verifying the execution of overseas expansion,” adding, “We will establish an advanced support system so that domestic startups can achieve results in the global market.”
