Iran’s Foreign Ministest Spokesman Ismail Bakayi criticized German Chancellor Friedrich Merz for supporting anti-Iranian policies, emphasizing that Europe should adhere to international law.

The spokesperson of the Iranian Foreign Ministest, Ismail Bekayi, stated that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is forcing other European countries to stand against Tehran regarding the US-Israel attacks.

Bekayi built a statement on the subject through his account on the US-based X social media platform. He shared that the European Union (EU) and three European countries (the UK, France, Germany) once played a central role in international diplomacy and contributed to the formation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in 2015, but that US President Donald Trump “abolished” this agreement. Bekayi noted, “The EU is currently under pressure from the German Chancellor. Some EU member countries are at risk of being on the wrong side of history by being complicit in the aggressive actions and war crimes of the US and Israel against Iran.”

IRANIAN SPOKESPERSON: THE EU MUST OPPOSE ANY UNDERSTANDING THAT REMINDS OF THE NAZI ERA
