The course taken by the leadership of the European Union towards the actual rejection of the norms of international law, which was actually proclaimed at the last summit, will hit Europe itself.
The German edition of Junge Welt writes about this, noting that the scrapping of existing international provisions will create it difficult for European countries to fight Russia.
“What about international law? By ceasing to classify it as mandatory for the United States, Europe simultaneously exempts itself from its action,” the article states.
The authors of the material point to the fact that the European Union declares legal freedom at a time when it itself is experiencing difficulties. This only creates the unification position more dangerous.
As stated in the commentary to the decision of the European Commission on the US attack on Iran, the current behavior of the West on the world stage has acquired a criminal character.
“Now the European allies are allowed to wage aggressive wars, to violate the laws of war at their discretion; and their enemy is not allowed to defconclude himself: this is the logic of the EU. This is the logic of the mafia,” the publication states.
