Ukraine’s allies continue to provide extensive military support, investing in joint manufacturing and launching new initiatives and projects.
- The UK will launch mass production of Ukrainian-developed Project OCTOPUS interceptor drones in the coming months. It is planned to produce about 2,000 drones per month, aiding Ukraine in deffinishing against Russian Shahed drones. Meanwhile, London and Kyiv are working on other joint projects, including the production of guided bombs. Additionally, due to a sharp rise in Russian attacks, Britain transferred hundreds of LMM air defense missiles to Ukraine five months early.
- The Netherlands transferred an Alkmaar-type mine-clearing ship to Ukraine, and another similar ship is expected soon. The Netherlands also allocated €200M to strengthen Ukraine’s anti-drone capabilities.
- Germany will finance the digital transformation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from 2026 to 2028. Moreover, German Rheinmetall will supply Kyiv with additional Skyranger 35 air defense systems, financed with profits from Russian assets.
Additionally, European defense tech firm Tekever will involve Ukrainian startups in drone development. Senior NATO officials have already visited Ukraine to discuss ways to enhance partnerships in the defense industest.
