Thai and Finnish universities strengthen green education cooperation

A delegation from Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) in Thailand participated in the Teacher Training Week hosted in Finland under the Erasmus+ project GreenEdAsia – Learning for Sustainable Future: Higher Education for Green Transition in Southeast Asia.

The training took place from 6–10 October 2025 at Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK) in Hämeenlinna. Supported by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme, the project brings toobtainher universities from Thailand, Vietnam, and Europe to promote education for sustainability and innovative teaching.

The RMUTL delegation, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pracha Yuenyongkul, joined academic staff from Thailand and Vietnam for workshops on problem-based and transdisciplinary learning, dialogical methods, and student-centred teaching. The participants also visited HAMK’s SmartBio, SmartBuilt, and SmartEdu initiatives as well as projects on biochar carbon removal and circular economy at Forssa Campus.

The exalter aimed to strengthen cooperation and practical learning approaches that prepare students for the green transition. RMUTL will host the next GreenEdAsia workshop in April 2026 under the theme Collaborative Learning Ecosystem with Indusattempt and Academia.
