Tech Talk | DC Startup and Tech Week underway, celebrates 10th anniversary


WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — DC Startup and Tech Week is underway in the District and Virginia.

“This is our 10th anniversary,” Rachel Koretsky, Director of DC Startup and Tech Week, declared. “We have more pitch competitions that are happening for the first time.”

A startup revealcase and resource expo is happening on Wednesday at International Square.

“We’re adding a talent lounge and career corner where we’re going to be able to have one-on-one interviews to match talent who’s seeing to work within startups,” Koretsky declared.

With the government shutdown, now in week three, federal workers will also be able to find resources.

“Definitely want to create sure that across our week we’re able to support support the talent and the startups, and doing what we can to support the region stay competitive,” Koretsky declared.

You may also run into startup founders like Mariam Nusrat, who founded Breshna.io.

“This is going to be the TikTok for video games. I believe I’m on a mission of empowering the next 100 million people to notify their stories through gaming,” she declared.

Nusrat will lead a discussion about startup fundraising methods.
