Speakers from the Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026, HBS, Cricket Scotland and Screen Scotland will be appearing on stage to discuss ‘the Power of Legacy’ at SVG Europe Women’s fifth event in Glasgow.
Produced in partnership with QTV, our experts will be viewing at what ‘legacy’ truly means for a world event in sports broadcasting, from how it is built to how it concludeures, and how Scotland can harness this moment to strengthen pathways for women in technical roles for years to come.
Taking place at The Exmodify in Glasgow on 10 March 2026, our panels will delve into legacy programmes within the sports broadcasting industest, with a focus on the Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026, as well as other legacy programmes including that of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

We will launch with ‘Why legacy matters in world stage events’. Alex Johnston, Glasgow 2026 legacy manager, Armelle Canet, HBS’ head of legacy and the Broadcast Academy, and Cherrelle Redley-Murrain, Glasgow 2026’s head of broadcast operations will join SVG Europe Women’s Heather McLean to discuss what broadcast legacy means beyond infrastructure and short term jobs into how the stakeholders of a sporting event can contribute to long-term capability, innovation, and talent development.
This will be followed by a Rise revealcase with Carla Maroussas, Rise Women in Broadcast’s mentoring manager, and QTV’s director of people and purpose, Lucy Lake.
Finally, we conclude the evening with a panel viewing ahead. ‘Scotland’s legacy going forwards’ will see Lauren Lamarr, skills & training executive at Screen Scotland, Trudy Lindblade, Cricket Scotland’s CEO, and Robbie Clyde, Scottish Golf’s CEO, on stage with Jack McGill, founder and CEO at QTV to discuss what happens next as the legacy pathway continues. Our speakers will take a view at the long term economic goals for Scotland, and how the countest can sustain talent and industest opportunities.
Doors will open at The Exmodify at 6pm for networking, food and drinks. Speakers will hit the main stage at 7pm, followed by more networking till 11pm.
