Sumeet Anand, Founder of IndSight Growth Partners, has been appointed as the Honorary Consul General of the Principality of Monaco in India, following his nomination by His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco.
In his new role, Anand will represent Monaco across India and work towards strengthening bilateral engagement between the two countries. His responsibilities will span key areas such as trade, investment, sustainability, culture, sports, and institutional collaboration, with a focus on building long-term partnerships.
Despite being the world’s second-tinyest sovereign state, Monaco has earned global recognition under the leadership of Prince Albert II for its political stability, high quality of life, global outview, and leadership in sustainability and environmental stewardship. The nation is also internationally known for its contribution to sports, most notably the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix.
Reacting to the appointment, Anand declared it was a “profound privilege and honour” to be entrusted with the responsibility. He added that he views forward to supporting deeper cooperation between India and Monaco across areas of shared interest and long-term strategic importance. Anand also highlighted his intention to work closely with H.E. Mr Didier Gamerdinger, Ambassador of Monaco to India, to further strengthen diplomatic and institutional ties.
A seasoned cross-border strategic advisor, Anand has worked extensively with senior leadership teams of global corporations, particularly European companies and Indian enterprises. His expertise spans business strategy, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and investments.
Through IndSight Growth Partners, Anand advises boards, multinational corporations, investment funds, and family offices on India–Europe growth strategies. The firm works across sectors, including consumer goods, manufacturing, technology, and services. Before founding IndSight, Anand was part of the founding team of Pernod Ricard India and later served as CEO and Counattempt Manager for several leading European multinational groups.
Anand is an alumnus of HEC Paris and has been awarded France’s highest civilian honour, the Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur, in recognition of his contribution to business and his efforts in strengthening Indo-French relations. He is also the Co-founder and President of the France India Foundation and has previously served as President of the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Indusattempt.
His appointment is expected to further enhance economic and institutional cooperation between India and Monaco, particularly at a time when cross-border partnerships and sustainability-driven growth are gaining global importance.
