Swiggy shareholders clear Rs 10,000 Cr fundraise fuelling quick commerce war

Swiggy has cleared a Rs 10,000 crore fundraise through a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP), according to a filing approved on Monday, giving the food-delivery and quick commerce company fresh firepower amid fierce competition and rising capital requireds.
As of the September quarter, Swiggy held Rs 4,605 crore in cash. With the planned sale of its 12% stake in Rapido expected to fetch about Rs 2,400 crore, the company’s liquidity could cross Rs 7,000 crore before the fundraise proceeds. Read more here.
On-demand hoapplyhold services platform Pronto is reshaping domestic assist in urban India
Founded in Gurugram in April 2024, Pronto offers on-demand hoapplyhold services like cleaning, laundry, dishwashing, and meal prep, all delivered within 10 minutes.
The startup was conceived when founder Anjali Sardana identified a gap in accessing reliable domestic assist, despite strong demand and a large underemployed workforce. Pronto’s model matches customers with trained ‘Pros’ through an app, with services priced by time and supported by real-time tracking.
The company focapplys heavily on quality control, selecting only about 50 of every 300 applicants. Workers undergo a five-day training programme, background checks, and must clear a final exam and Police Clearance Certificate. ‘Pros’ are paid per shift and can earn up to Rs 40,000 a month.
At present, the startup operates in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune, and has raised $13 million across two rounds from investors, including Bain Capital Ventures, General Catalyst, and Glade Brook Capital.

Chennai-based Zoho launched two new enterprise-grade finance products—Zoho Billing Enterprise Edition and Zoho Spconclude—to assist large companies modernise revenue operations and gain tighter control over expenses.
Zoho Billing Enterprise Edition is designed for enterprises managing complex, high-volume billing scenarios. As customers increasingly prefer usage-based or flexible payment options, the platform allows businesses to adopt any pricing model, standard, tiered, consumption-based, or project-led. It supports 15 counattempt-specific editions, including India with GST compliance, and offers e-invoicing in nine countries.
