University of Sydney green fertilisers and fuels spin-out PlasmaLeap Technologies has secured the backing of high-profile strategic and institutional investors as it seeks to pioneer the production of zero-emission ammonia and nitric acid.
The Sydney start-up’s $30 million Series A round was led by the Gates Foundation, the private foundation founded by Bill and Melinda Gates, plus Sydney-based early-stage venture capital firm Investible and Yara Growth Ventures, the venture arm of integrated nitrogen fertiliser producer Yara International.
