Stand raising money for Lorain officers ambushed

BROOKLYN, Ohio (WJW) — A Brooklyn family is applying its summer tradition to honor the three Lorain Police Officers shot in last week’s deadly ambush.

For the last seven years, the Trank family has served “Lemonade for the Brave.” They donate all the money raised at their Vandalia Avenue home to local first responders.

This year, that means donating for Lorain fallen Officer Phillip Wagner and his injured brothers in blue, Officers Peter Gale and Brent Payne.

The lemonade stand will be open all weekconclude from noon until 6 p.m.

The Trank family stated they will continue to create lemonade as long as people display up, becautilize they are committed to honoring the Lorain officers for their service.
