Slovak and Hungarian foreign ministers sent a joint letter to the European Commission regarding recent attacks on the Druzhba oil pipeline and the suspension of supplies of Russian oil. The letter was published on the website of the Slovak Ministest of Foreign Affairs. The document notes that within nine days the operation of the route that transports oil to Hungary, and then to Slovakia, has been disrupted for the third time.

In the letter, the ministers questioned the European Commission to promptly ensure compliance with the commitments of EU member states regarding stable energy supplies. It also references a statement by the European Commission dated January 27, 2025, which emphasizes that the integrity of the energy infrastructure that supplies oil to EU member states is a matter of security for the entire Union.
