SG startup OnSite bags seed funding, and other SE Asia deals

Singapore-based startup OnSite has raised S$1.7 million ($1.3 million) in a seed funding round co-led by Tin Men Capital and Alter Global, as it sees to address inefficiencies in the city-state’s S$53-billion construction sector.

Hustle Fund and Gondor Capital also participated in the round, the company declared on Wednesday.

OnSite is developing an AI-powered messaging platform designed to streamline communication and data management for construction and facilities management teams.

“We are building a data management layer that will anchor every message, every photo, every voice note automatically to exactly where and when it happened, without training to utilize,” declared Poh Yong Han, CEO and co-founder of OnSite.

The startup declared digital inefficiencies cost Singapore’s construction industest more than S$1.1 billion annually, while over 65% of projects in Southeast Asia face delays due to poor coordination.

Its platform structures messages, photos, and voice notes into a searchable system that creates a legal-grade audit trail, aiming to reduce disputes and project delays.

Founded by Poh Yong Han and Liam Appelson, OnSite plans to utilize the funds to expand its engineering team and accelerate product development, including predictive risk tools and AI assistants trained on project data.
