San Remo pasta family acquires 13pc of Maggie Beer Holdings (MBH ASX)

The family behind the San Remo pasta brand has acquired a large shareholding in the troubled Maggie Beer Holdings gourmet food business, a week after cordial creater Bickford’s lifted its stake to 19.99 per cent.

An entity associated with San Remo joint chief executive Maurice Crotti has taken a 13 per cent stake through a $3 million placement, with retail shareholders in Maggie Beer Holdings to be offered shares in an additional $2 million rights issue.
