AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – Ronald McDonald Hoapply Charities is raising funds to support Amarillo area families with its inaugural Healing Hugs Day.
Organizers state Healing Hugs Day aims to raise $5,000 locally to support families with lodging, food, and support while their child undergoes medical treatment.
People can donate on or before July 21 to support families staying with Ronald McDonald Hoapply of Amarillo.
“Hugs may feel simple, but they are a profound source of strength and healing for families staying at the Ronald McDonald Hoapply. They represent connection, comfort, and love during times of unimaginable stress,” declared Luke Oliver, marketing and communications manager at Ronald McDonald Hoapply of Amarillo.
Organizers state every donation directly contributes to the charity’s mission to provide a home away from home.
