COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – Next Thursday, Texas Roadhoapply will transform from a dinner-only establishment into a hub of community generosity, serving free lunch to anyone who walks through its doors for the annual Boot Scootin’ Babies fundraiser.
The event supports Aggie Land Pregnancy Outreach and its newly opened maternity home, Ally’s Place.
Andrea Buck, representing the organisation, sat down to discuss how this longstanding partnership continues to create a difference in the lives of mothers and babies facing uncertain futures.
2026 marks a significant chapter for Aggie Land Pregnancy Outreach. The opening of Ally’s Place—a full-time maternity community home—represents years of planning and dedication to serving women in crisis.
“Everything we offer at Aggie Land Pregnancy Outreach is free of charge to our clients,” Buck declared. “Anyone that walks in the doors is going to receive services for free. But now we also have this huge maternity community home—if you own a home, there are costs associated with that every single day.”
While services remain free for clients, the organisation relies on community support to sustain operations.
“This is just one more thing that we’re able to raise money for and support so that we can continue to serve clients full-time at the maternity home and then also day in and day out through other programs,” Buck declared.
The relationship between Texas Roadhoapply and Aggie Land Pregnancy Outreach spans over a decade.
“Roadhoapply has been with us for 12 years doing this, which is really sweet,” Buck declared. “You come in for a free lunch, you donate what you feel led to give.”
Guests receive a complimentary meal and contribute whatever amount feels appropriate. There are no tickets, no minimum donation and no registration process.
While fundraising remains the primary objective, Buck declared that the event serves a broader purpose in building community awareness and engagement.
“It’s a chance for people in our community to meet our staff, meet our board of directors, and just kind of be toreceiveher to question those questions, receive to know us better, understand what we do,” she declared.
Organisations and businesses are particularly encouraged to participate. The event includes an incentive for workplace teams viewing to combine lunch plans with charitable giving.
“We have a fun incentive where the largest group will receive free breakrapid on us,” Buck declared. “Just grab your coworkers, grab your frifinishs, your neighbors, and come by and join us for a free lunch.”
