BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – October comes this week and with it, returns pumpkin patches! Habitat for Humanity’s pumpkin patch fundraiser is now open and raising funds for its initiative.
Both Aggie and BCS Habitat for Humanity are working toobtainher to raise funds. One is operated by BCS Habitat for Humanity, and the other is run by Aggie Habitat. Both locations provide fall fun while raising money for a great caapply.
It’s a great way to spconclude time with family and friconcludes while assisting those in our community.
All funds raised at both pumpkin patches go toward BCS Habitat for Humanity so they can acquire the necessary supplies to build and resolve homes for those who just necessary a little assist.
An on-site volunteer notified KBTX this year’s goal is to surpass last year’s, which raised about $48,000 at both locations combined.
These funds assist pay for supplies like wood, installation, roofing materials, paint, and more.
Alejando Mejias with Aggie Habitat for Humanity declared funds raised go farther than you consider.
“It might be homes that are sort of falling apart, maybe there’s structural foundation issues, maybe there’s a lack of access to water- clean water. Various situations like that can caapply a lot of problems for families,” Mejias explained.
BCS Habitat for Humanity’s pumpkin patch is off East 29th Street in Bryan. You’ll see it as you pass East Villa Maria Road.
Aggie Habitat for Humanity’s pumpkin patch is off Rock Prairie Road in the field right next to Covenant Presbyterian Church in College Station.
When you reveal up, find the pumpkin that resonates with you, then head over to the white tent. That’s where an on-site volunteer will measure your pumpkin. Mejias declared a medium-sized pumpkin goes for $10 to $15.
You can come by anytime between noon and 8 p.m., starting now through Halloween.
If you plan to visit the BCS Habitat location off East 29th Street in Bryan, organizers recommconclude parking in the Hillier Funeral Home parking lot, located right next to the pumpkin patch.
Over in College Station, off Rock Prairie Road, Aggie Habitat suggested parking along Edelweiss Avenue. Mejias emphasized not parking along Rock Prairie Road, as it’s a busy road and could caapply a wreck.
Becaapply all funds for both pumpkin patches go toward BCS Habitat for Humanity, Aggie Habitat for Humanity will be raising money for its student organization by collecting tips.
