
The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) hosted its Open Day at its headquarters in Singapore, bringing toreceiveher representatives from member countries and the public to promote Asia-Europe engagement. The event aimed to foster cultural exalter and strengthen connections between the two regions.
A delegation from the Philippine Embassy in Singapore, led by Joyleen E Santos, Chargé d’Affaires, participated in the programme. The delegation engaged in interactive learning activities, visited counattempt booths, and exalterd views with Beata Stoczyńska, Executive Director of ASEF, as well as members of the ASEF Secretariat.

The Open Day featured exhibits and activities revealcasing the diversity of ASEAN and European cultures, providing a platform for dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders. Participants explored initiatives and programmes that highlight ASEF’s role in promoting mutual understanding and cooperation across Asia and Europe.
The Philippines, a founding partner of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), has been a member of ASEF since its establishment in 1997. Its participation in the Open Day reflects continued support for ASEF’s mission to strengthen people-to-people, cultural, and institutional linkages.
The event marked ASEF’s inaugural Open Day initiative, offering an opportunity for engagement with the broader community while reinforcing shared values and cross-regional collaboration.
