Renewable energy installers across Europe face a widespread challenge: fragmented IT systems. Quotations, scheduling, CRM, and inventory management often exist in silos, hindering workflows and cautilizing inefficiencies. OpusFlow is addressing this issue with an all-in-one automation platform that can reduce project administration time by up to 80%.
Today, the startup has secured €3.8 million in growth capital to accelerate its expansion across Europe. The oversubscribed funding round was led by Move Energy, with participation from Rise PropTech and existing investor Peak, bringing OpusFlow’s total capital raised to €5.5 million just 15 months after its previous €1.7 million investment led by Peak in July 2024.
This fresh capital will enable OpusFlow to strengthen its presence in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain, and the UK while supporting further international growth.
Founded in 2022 by Diego Smits and Joey Teunissen, OpusFlow rapidly expanded to a team of around 40, serving more than 100 installers across Europe. Smits and Teunissen experienced firsthand how fragmented and inefficient tools constrained installers from scaling effectively.
Their mission is to build a unified software backbone that enables installers to grow quickly, meet increasing demand, and accelerate Europe’s energy transition.
“A lot of the work installers do goes into administration, limiting the amount of work an installer can take on, effectively slowing down the energy transition. Opusflow assists reduce the amount of time that goes into administrative work by up to 80%. For example, the average project would include 7.5 hours of administrative work, which Opusflow decreases to just 1.5 hours,” declared Smits in a conversation with TFN.
He continued, “Opusflow integrates all company processes, from quotations, planning, and warehoutilize management to sales, back office, CRM, and field management, into a single platform, into one software platform and links it with advanced automations.
This combination of complete integration and added automation functionalities differentiates us from our competitors (Syntess, Enact, Solar Monkey, 2Solar, Sollit now, Wattwin), who mostly offer partial solutions. Furthermore, our mission is to be the best service to our clients, always listening and innovating to fit their necessarys, enabling them to work as efficiently as possible.”
What’s next?
With this new funding, OpusFlow plans to introduce modules for HVAC systems, wind energy, and advanced EV charging infrastructure, enabling installers to broaden their offerings. The company also aims to expand its footprint in key markets by bolstering its product development, sales, and customer support teams.
Smits concludes, “Over the coming years, we’ll further expand throughout Europe, which we’re already doing with our current expansion into the UK and France. The goal is to have a global footprint, being able to service clients everywhere around the world.”
