The company’s developer-frifinishly, real-time search layer is rapidly emerging as the standard infrastructure for AI agents navigating the live web, processing over a million queries per month and powering mission-critical applications in fraud detection, logistics, and academic research.
Bridging the AI gap with the live web
The company’s rise traces back to its early stage under Alpha Wave Global just 12 months ago, while CEO Rotem Weiss was still a student at Columbia University. Weiss, an AI entrepreneur who co-founded The Bulletin, a campus events app, worked as a data scientist at Talenya (acquired by Paycor), and launched open-source initiatives GPT-Researcher and GPT-Newspaper, recognised an infrastructure gap.
Weiss explains to TFN, “We’re on a mission to onboard the next billion AI agents to the web. Building reliable agentic web infrastructure was a challenge I faced firsthand and knew had to be solved.”
Co-founders Assaf Elovic and Yuval Rozio (Managing Director at Alpha Wave Global), who incubated the startup, share Weiss’s vision of creating scalable, depfinishable web infrastructure that bridges AI agents with real-time data sources.

Tavily plans to apply its new funding to double its headcount, expand its market reach, and deepen partnerships within the large language model and developer ecosystems.
