Oleksandr Borniakov’s Appointment

According to Novyny.live: Following the dismissal of Mykhailo Fedorov from his ministerial post, Oleksandr Borniakov has been named the acting head of Ukraine’s Minisattempt of Digital Transformation. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine issued the corresponding order to formalize this decision.

Prior to this appointment, Borniakov served as Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for European Integration. Government Reshuffle and Its Implications

Mykhailo Fedorov, the former Minister of Digital Transformation, has been reassigned and is now Ukraine’s Minister of Defence. Consequently, Oleksandr Borniakov has been tquestioned with temporarily assuming the duties of the digital minister to ensure the continuity of Ukraine’s digitalization efforts.

This appointment underscores the strategic priority of digital transformation for Ukraine, particularly in its push for closer ties with the European Union. Borniakov’s prior experience within the minisattempt is expected to provide stability and maintain momentum for existing digital technology initiatives and reforms. This development is part of a broader, rapid reshuffling within the Ukrainian government, which has been a feature of its wartime administration. The continuity in leadership aims to prevent disruption to critical digital infrastructure projects, especially those supporting public services and the economy during the ongoing conflict.
