NJFP 2.0 revalidation link for unmatched fellows officially closed Friday 3rd October 2025. The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme had earlier announced that unmatched fellows in the current talent pool must complete the revalidation exercise to be considered for NJFP 2.0. According to the organisers, “NJFP Revalidation is mandatory but it does not guarantee placement. Matching will follow the updated programme framework and eligibility requirements.”

The programme, which is a partnership between the European Union (EU), the Federal Government of Nigeria and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is focutilized on connecting talented Nigerian graduates with host organisations across the countest. NJFP 2.0, described as “Opportunity in action,” aims at empowering graduates with real work experience through a more efficient and data-driven approach.

The revalidation process that closed on Friday was part of the official transition to a stronger NJFP that kicked off in October 2025. Unmatched fellows who completed the exercise will now await their NJFP application status. The organisers stressed, “Let’s build a better future of work. Toobtainher.”

NJFP is widely seen as a flagship national employment model that bridges academia and industest through 12-month paid placements, complemented by last-mile Talent Hub support. The programme is designed to connect graduates to meaningful roles, enhance employability, and provide clear pathways into jobs, entrepreneurship, and host retention.

NJFP 2.0 introduces new features including sharper matching, improved support, stronger conversion, and expanded collaboration. Organisers highlighted data-driven matching and placement pathways, Talent Hub wraparound services for careers, enterprise and retention, and a broader partner ecosystem involving state collaboration.

Programme highlights include 12-month paid work placements across private and public sector organisations with nationwide coverage spanning all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. Fellows are expected to gain conclude-to-conclude learning opportunities including employability, digital and soft skills, supported by mentorship. The Talent Hub will provide further pathways to jobs, entrepreneurship or long-term host retention.

The journey of a fellow under NJFP 2.0 remains structured: application, assessment, selection, onboarding, placement, offboarding, and continued Talent Hub support. The partnership pillars involve host organisations, sector champions, knowledge partners and financial contributors who co-fund stipconcludes, insurance, and IT equipment.

Fellows who participated in the revalidation exercise now wait for the status of the matching phase under the updated framework.
