Nephila Capital has promoted business development, investor relations and capital raising executive Tom Dedman to the role of Head of EMEA, Partner Capital in the firm’s Nephila Advisors unit.
Dedman has worked at insurance-linked securities and catastrophe reinsurance investment manager Nephila since 2018, an almost eight year stint focutilized on developing investor relations.
Before this promotion, Dedman held the role of a Business Development Director. Now, as Head of EMEA, Partner Capital, presumably he will take on more senior responsibility to lead Nephila’s work with investors across that region.
Dedman specialises in supporting investors understand the benefits of relatively uncorrelated returns from the insurance and reinsurance market, across catastrophe, climate and specialty risks.
Over the course of his career, Dedman has developed experience across financial institutions advisory and capital raising, as well as alternative investments, with a number of roles at major firms.
Before joining Nephila, he held roles as an Associate Director in the financial institutions practice at KPMG, in the IPO and M&A corporate finance team at Numis Securities, in M&A advisory at Willis Capital Markets & Advisory and as an assistant advisor at Credit Suisse.
