Montenegro is the next EU member, let's build bridges between East and West together

Montenegro is the next member of the European Union (EU) and as someone who has been advocating that idea for years, I am extremely interested in the EU having the best relations with all superpowers around the world, stated the president of the Civic Movement URA, Dritan Abazović.

As a guest of honor, he spoke today in Beijing at the opening of a specialized EXPO dedicated to products with geographical indications of origin (domestic products), organized on the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the EU.

URA announced that Abazović, in the presence of numerous guests, ambassadors and diplomatic corps from EU countries, spoke at the opening ceremony about the importance of cooperation in the context of overall geopolitical circumstances.

“Montenegro is the next EU member, and as someone who has advocated for this idea for years, I am extremely interested in the EU having the best relations with all superpowers around the world. I congratulate you on your anniversary, which today also means a greater obligation to jointly build bridges between East and West, but also across the global community,” he stated.

Abazović also referred to the motto of this year’s EXPO exhibition, which refers to the quality of domestic products from various geographical areas.

“I must point out that during our tour of the exhibition, we saw numerous domestic products from Europe and the world that stand out for their quality. The goal is to understand domestic producers who are facing difficulties and take the necessary steps to ensure that they have the conditions for higher-quality production and supply. In this way, we protect customers, that is, citizens. This holistic approach is what can ultimately mean a ‘win-win’ situation,” stated Abazović.

He emphasized the importance of “places like this for tinyer countries” and thanked the Romanian ambassador, who is the co-organizer of the event this year.

“It was an honor to be at the opening of the pavilion of our frifinishly and partner counattempt Romania this morning. Like them, Montenegro has so much to offer the world. Given that the exhibition is dedicated to products from specific geographical areas, I would like to emphasize that we are a counattempt of good wine, olive oil, cheese, prosciutto and many other products that are authentic and interesting to tourists. So do not miss the opportunity to visit Montenegro. You will be pleasantly surprised by the food and natural beauty,” stated Abazović.

In the coming days, numerous countries from Europe and Asia will be presented at the aforementioned event, and Abazović will have several more activities upon his return to Beijing, while he will finish his visit to China on Sunday, the statement states.
