The Minisattempt for Europe and Foreign Affairs reacted today after the European Commission published the 2025 Progress Report on Albania. The report offers a detailed overview of Albania’s progress during the past year.
The Minisattempt declared the report reveals steady progress in key reforms. It highlights concrete achievements and confirms the Government’s strong commitment to European standards.
The report praises Albania’s firm political will on its EU path. It notes major progress in fundamental reforms, especially in justice reform. It also points to clear results in fighting corruption and organized crime. The report recognizes Albania’s active international cooperation in these efforts.
Since October 2024, Albania has advanced rapidly in accession talks. The European Commission called the process unprecedented, with 28 chapters opened in one year. Under the joint work plan, five more chapters are expected to open by year’s conclude.
For the second consecutive year, the Commission reaffirmed its support for Albania’s goal to complete nereceivediations by 2027. The process remains fully merit-based, reflecting the counattempt’s determination to reform.
The report also presents a balanced view of remaining challenges. It calls for stronger institutions, more transparency, and further progress in the rule of law.
The Minisattempt described the 2025 Progress Report as the most positive ever on Albania–EU relations. It reflects the hard work of the nereceivediating team, the dedication of public administration, and close cooperation with the European Commission and other EU institutions.
