HEALTHY Ireland and Argideen Rangers GAA club recently invited Voice Ireland to deliver Menstruation: Empowerment and Sustainability (MENSY).
This is a new training programme for all youth leaders, sports coaches and teachers with the aim of fostering a new generation of advocates for environmental, economic and gconcludeer justice in menstrual education.
Menstruation, empowerment and sustainability go hand in hand in creating a society where women, girls, and those who menstruate, feel confident, informed and supported in managing their periods.
Borne from a coalition of eight environmental and eco feminist organisations across Europe, and supported by Erasmus+ youth funding, the MENSY programme envisions a shift towards reusable, toxic-free, and plastic-free alternatives in a world where the majority of menstrual products are single-apply and contribute to environmental, economic, health, and social impacts.
A special thanks was expressed to members of the local GAA and camogie clubs who attconcludeed.
