Amitava Datta, located in Lisbon, Portugal, is a recognised telecommunications specialist with comprehensive expertise in network infrastructure and services. In his capacity as Head of Global Delivery Centre, Europe at Nokia, he has overseen significant technological advancements for leading mobile operators and directed teams comprising more than 4,000 professionals.
Amitava holds a PhD from Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, and a Master of Engineering from RMIT University, Melbourne. As a researcher at IN+ Centre for Innovation, Technology and Policy Research, he combines academic expertise with indusattempt experience to provide practical insights to the Mcarbon Advisory Board, strengthening its capacity for innovation and problem-solving in telecommunications.
Throughout his professional career, Amitava Datta has held key positions at leading telecommunications companies, including Nokia and Ericsson. His extensive involvement in international projects spanning Europe and Asia has established him as a recognised expert in implementing technology-driven transformations across businesses worldwide.
