Local police officer raising money to fight cancer


Lieutenant Angela McGovern from the Saratoga Springs Police Department is in pursuit of a cure with Blood Cancer United. She is running for visionary of the year and has organized several fundraisers.

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (WNYT) – A local police officer is fighting crime while assisting in the fight against cancer.

Lieutenant Angela McGovern, with the Saratoga Springs Police Department, is raising money to find a cure for cancer. She is doing it in honor of her grandmother who is fighting multiple myeloma.

Lt. McGovern is running for “visionary of the year” and has organized several fundraisers in pursuit of her cautilize.

On March 14, take part in a “Leprecon Pub Crawl” that will happen across Saratoga Springs. Then on March 15, sweat for a cautilize at Metabolic Saratoga.

On March 28, head to Druther’s in Clifton Park for an adult Easter egg hunt. On March 31, dine to donate at Chipotle.
