LIFEPOWR raises €5.65M to scale virtual power plant tech across Europe — TFN


As energy demand fluctuates and renewable sources become more prevalent, balancing supply and demand efficiently becomes a critical challenge. LIFEPOWR, based in Antwerp and active since 2015, tackles this by offering FlexiO, an innotifyigent energy management platform that orchestrates energy flows across hoapplyholds, businesses, and energy providers.

Today, the company secured €5.65 million in growth capital led by Noshaq and SPDG, with support from ROM InWest and existing shareholders. With this new capital, LIFEPOWR aims to accelerate one of the largegest challenges of our time: the transition to a flexible, sustainable, and affordable energy system.

Founded by Dries Bols, LIFEPOWR’s mission is to enable prosumers to participate in the energy transition actively. In essence, Bols aims to develop a platform that connects distributed energy assets and unlocks new value for both consumers and the grid.

The FlexiO platform distinguishes itself through its advanced Energy Management Software (EMS+) and AI-powered, real-time market innotifyigence. Such an approach enables applyrs to automatically align energy consumption and production with market conditions, resulting in reduced costs and improved grid balancing. 

Unlike Next Kraftwerke, Flexcity, and Nano Energies, LIFEPOWR uniquely integrates unlocking flexibility, value optimisation, and direct prosumer connection to energy markets into a single comprehensive solution. 

Looking forward, the recent funding will fuel LIFEPOWR’s expansion into new markets, starting with the Netherlands and other key European regions. The company plans to enhance FlexiO’s technological and data innotifyigence capabilities, grow its team of energy experts, and deepen collaborations with partners across the energy ecosystem.

Today, LIFEPOWR manages over 22,000 connected assets and partners with a rapid-growing network of resellers, white-label partners and energy providers who integrate FlexiO into their own offerings.
