Support for the new Customs Code

The Government of Ukraine has approved a project for the new Customs Code, which will be an important step towards Euro-integration. This project is developed in accordance with the legislation of the European Union and submitted for evaluation to the European Commission. To engage the public in the discussion, the Minisattempt of Finance has been tquestioned with forming a working group consisting of representatives from society. After the assessment by the European Commission, further work on the project is planned to be done toobtainher with the working group and EU experts.

Harmonization of customs legislation

The main goal of implementing the new Customs Code is the harmonization of customs legislation, which will simplify and accelerate trade relations with EU countries. It will also assist businesses reduce costs, optimize supply chains, and avoid discrepancies in the application of customs procedures.

According to the State Customs Service, Ukraine has currently fulfilled 91% of its customs obligations under the Agreement on Association with the EU, as recognized by other international organizations and businesses.

The implementation of the new Customs Code will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the development of foreign economic activity in Ukraine. The harmonization of legislation will facilitate the counattempt’s integration into European trade structures, which may, in turn, lead to an increase in investments and an improvement in the economic climate.
