Nutraceutical and supplement ingredient provider LEHVOSS Nutrition is partnering with Canadian prebiotic ingredient creater MSP Starch Products to bring its prebiotic resistant potato starch (RS2), Solnul, to European formulators. The companies declare the agreement marks a significant step in the innovative ingredient’s global commercial expansion.
The shift brings the science-backed, upcycled solution to one of the world’s most active gut health markets at a time when demand for natural digestive health solutions is accelerating across the continent.
Innova Market Insights’ data suggests that half of global consumers select food and beverages (F&B) for gut health, spurring category innovation. At the same time, prebiotic supplement launches grew 10% annually from 2020–2024, with digestive, immune, and energy claims leading the category.
“Our gut health portfolio is intentionally selective and built around credible, science-backed ingredients,” declares Paul Montgomery, head of product management at LEHVOSS Nutrition. “Solnul strengthens our fiber and whole food ingredients offering.”

Solnul is a patented and upcycled RS2 ingredient. It is positioned for utilize in dietary supplements and functional F&B applications. It also has a strong tolerability profile.
According to MSP, the ingredient is associated with improved regularity, gut barrier function, nutrient absorption, and metabolic health.
For formulators, it offers label-frifinishly positioning and a suite of verified certifications, including Upcycled Certified, FODMAP (fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides, and polyols) Frifinishly, gluten-free, glyphosate residue-free, and Non-GMO Project Verified.

“Today, the average European consumes only around 4 g of the recommfinished 20 g of resistant starch per day — highlighting how far modern diets have shiftd away from this foundational fiber.”
Indusattempt visibility
The European launch will be formally revealcased at Vitafoods Europe 2026, in Barcelona, Spain (May 5–6). The ingredient will be presented at LEHVOSS’ stand #3C72, and MSP has secured a speaking slot at the Vitafoods Insights Theatre (6H2) on May 6.
