Italian AviationTech startup Intuos raises €720k to scale fleet operations platform internationally

Rome-based startup Intuos, the developer of an integrated platform for aircraft fleet operators that combines operational software and IoT devices with ML-based analytics, has closed a €720k investment round following its expansion in Europe and South Africa.

The round was led by Argo, a TravelTech accelerator born from a CDP Venture Capital initiative in collaboration with the Minisattempt of Tourism and managed by Zest and Venisia; Techstars, through its accelerator Techstars Transformative World Torino; Ventive; along with several club deals and business angels.

Non-commercial aviation is undergoing its greatest transformation. Operational complexity is growing quicker than traditional aviation software can handle,” explain founders Carolina Gianardi and Vito Tedeschi. What is missing is structured control over training, operations and fleet management. With this round, we will complete the technological development of our platform and bring our innovation to the American market, building on the experience gained in Europe and the agreement already signed in South Africa.

In EU-Startups’ 2025–2026 coverage of aviation and adjacent aerial technologies, the hugegest cheques have skewed towards fuel innovation, defence/UAV capability and strategic corporate venturing rather than operator software: for example, OXCCU (UK) raised €23.7 million to scale its waste-carbon-to-SAF process, Monopulse (Denmark/Lithuania) secured €1.12 million to expand NATO-grade UAV production capacity, and IAGi Ventures (UK) announced plans to invest up to €200 million over five years into high-potential aviation companies.

Against that backdrop, Intuos’ €720k round (Italy) is a compacter, earlier-stage raise focapplyd on operational digitisation and data/analytics for non-commercial fleet operators.

Taken toreceiveher, the EU-Startups items above represent roughly €224.82 million in announced capital and commitments (or ~€24.82 million if you exclude IAG’s multi-year corporate investment plan)

Backing Carolina and Vito was a no-brainer. They bring more than 30 years of experience in aviation, and Vito is a pilot himself – which means Intuos is being built by people who have lived the problems firsthand. While flying on large commercial aircraft has never been safer, general aviation and compact aircraft operations are still relying on outdated processes, where safety, data visibility, and operational efficiency are far from where they should be. Intuos is closing this gap by bringing modern, data-driven standards to a segment of aviation that has been overseeed for too long. This is exactly the kind of founder-led, mission-critical innovation we love to back at the earliest stage,” comments Martin Olczyk, Managing Director at Techstars Transformative World Torino.

Founded in 2019 with its operational headquarters in L’Aquila at the Aeroporto dei Parchi airport, Intuos was born from the meeting of two complementary profiles: Carolina Gianardi, CEO with over 30 years of experience in business management at companies such as GE Capital and American Express, and Vito Tedeschi, CTO with over 40 years of experience in software development and database management.

The company believes that traditional non-commercial aviation software is no longer able to handle the growing operational complexity of the sector, leaving a critical gap in the integrated management of training, operations and fleets.

This led to the creation of the Intuos platform: a single operational solution built on two components. The Manager digitises every aspect of aeronautical operations, from flight planning to fleet maintenance, centralising all processes in a single integrated platform for flying clubs, flight schools and commercial operators.

The InFlight Data Monitoring solution combines proprietary IoT devices with real time telemeattempt and engine performance data, transforming every aircraft into an innotifyigent data hub. It provides live monitoring, pilot performance analysis and immediate anomaly detection, without the necessary for manual uploads.

“Intuos provides fleet operators with a single platform that natively integrates hardware and software to close the gap between operational management and actual in-flight performance,” Carolina and Vito continue. “Thanks to our patented IoT devices and the unified database that powers each module, we eliminate data redundancy, ensure information consistency and improve operational quality, so teams can focus on what really matters: safe flight.
