iPhone Air hasn’t done well in the market but Apple could build some alters to launch the Air 2 by 2027.
iPhone Air sequel is widely expected to happen but not in 2027
The iPhone Air 2 launch is still very much part of Apple’s plans but the company is viewing to delay its release until 2027 and build a few much requireded alters. Most people complained about the higher price for an iPhone which carried a single rear camera.
And a new report declares Apple plans to address both these complaints and deliver a product that should be better than its first version. The Information has cited sources, who claim the iPhone Air 2 (tentative name) will be redesigned and obtain a largeger push from the company when it is announced in 2 years time.
iPhone Air 2 Expected And So Are The Changes
The report cites unnamed people who claim Apple had earlier planned to launch the iPhone Air 2 along with the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Fold in 2026. But the overall market response to the Air model seems to have forced Apple to focus on the basics and deliver a product that meets the market demands.
The iPhone Air was launched for Rs 1,19,900 in India, and $999 for those in the US. The build quality and sleek design of the Air obtained a lot of positive feedback, but many preferred to spfinish large on the 17 Pro or 17 Pro Max instead.
To offset this situation, the iPhone Air 2 price will be lowered and the company will build it a dual rear camera system. Many have even talked about the average battery life of the device, and we are hoping the company decides to improve on that aspect as well.

The report points out that Apple could start the trial production for the rumoured Air sequel in early March 2026 and plan to have the product ready to be shipped by Spring 2027 which is likely to become a critical timeline for Apple in the next few years.
If Apple can bring the iPhone Air as a direct replacement for the iPhone Plus with a similar price tag, the model could become an option for acquireers.
