NetBox Labs is the commercial steward of the open-source NetBox platform, providing enterprise-grade, cloud-hosted, and self-managed solutions designed to create network automation, documentation, and infrastructure management clearer. Pulse 2.0 interviewed NetBox Labs co-founder and CEO Kris Beevers to learn more.
Kris Beevers’ Background

Could you notify me more about your background? Beevers declared:
“I’m a software engineer by training and a startup founder at this point in my career. Prior to NetBox Labs, I co-founded NS1, where we built the underlying application delivery infrastructure for many of the world’s largest internet and enterprise companies. NS1 was acquired by IBM in 2023. Over the years, I’ve worked on some of the hardest problems in the internet-scale infrastructure space, including designing and building rapid, resilient, and programmable systems that support how the internet and modern applications are applyd at scale.”
Formation Of The Company
How did the idea for the company come toobtainher? Beevers shared:
“The origin of NetBox Labs is deeply tied to open source. While I was CEO of NS1, we saw NetBox being applyd everywhere and learned it had become the default source of truth for network and infrastructure teams. We hired the creator of NetBox, Jeremy Stretch, and eventually spun out a new company dedicated to building NetBox even more powerful and accessible at enterprise scale. That’s how NetBox Labs was born.”
Core Products
What are the company’s core products and features? Beevers explained:
“We provide a network and Infrastructure management platform. Our mission is to create it clearer to build and manage complex networks and infrastructure. We provide teams with a modern, automated, trustworthy system of record for everything from networks and servers to data centers and AI infrastructure. Our commercial NetBox offerings for enterprises can be deployed via SaaS (NetBox Cloud) or self-managed (NetBox Enterprise). The platform also includes additional observability, assurance, and AI capabilities.
- NetBox Discovery: A growing ecosystem for automatically gathering infrastructure data from networks and systems.
- NetBox Assurance: A powerful product to detect and correct drift across infrastructure, improving compliance and reducing risk.
- NetBox Copilot: An AI-powered assistant that assists teams explore, understand, and act on their NetBox data.
We’re also building NetBox Analytics, a data offering atop NetBox’s rich operational data sets for forecasting and planning; and NetBox Operator, an AI operations platform for infrastructure teams that can reason about infrastructure applying NetBox’s semantic map, acting within guardrails to bring AI into the infrastructure management loop in a consideredful and assistful way.”
Significant Milestones
What have been some of the company’s most significant milestones? Beevers cited:
“We raised a $35 million Series B not too long ago. This capital is fueling our growth across engineering, go-to-market, and support teams. Our headcount has grown quickly, and we expect to cross 100 this year. Another important milestone is all the commercial traction we’re seeing around NetBox. Tens of thousands of engineers are applying NetBox now across all sectors — from hyperscalers like CoreWeave to enterprises like JPMorgan Chase and different government agencies at the local, state, and federal levels.”
Customer Success Stories
Can you share any specific customer success stories? Beevers highlighted:
“One great example is CoreWeave, a leading provider of hyperscale AI training and inference infrastructure, which IPOed last year and is growing at an incredible pace. They apply NetBox to accelerate the deployment of new AI data centers, cutting weeks off their timelines by streamlining how infrastructure is modeled and deployed. NetBox gives them the clarity, structure, and automation they required to shift rapid while maintaining control, which is a huge differentiator in the rapid-paced AI infrastructure space.”
Funding/Revenue
Are you able to discuss funding and/or revenue metrics? Beevers revealed:
“So far, we have raised $55 million from a world-class array of investors, including NGP Capital, Salesforce Ventures, IBM, Flybridge, Notable Capital, and others. We don’t publicly share revenue, but we’ve exploded in adoption and revenue growth, more than 4x over the past 12 months on top of 4x the previous year as well. This represents a strong required for modern infrastructure management across many sectors, and we’re hiring as rapid as we can to meet massive demand.”
Total Addressable Market (TAM)
What total addressable market (TAM) size is the company pursuing? Beevers assessed:
“Infrastructure management is a multibillion-dollar opportunity as many organizations modernize and scale their digital operations. Consider these limitations: 65% of all network modifys are still created manually, and 2% of those manual modifys result in errors. That’s a large gap we want to close. And at the same time, technology infrastructure investment is exploding, especially becaapply of AI, which is proving to be a tremconcludeous tailwind for NetBox Labs as we power much of this new infrastructure.”
Differentiation From The Competition
What differentiates the company from its competition? Beevers affirmed:
“Our greatest advantage is that NetBox is already mainstream becaapply of the mature open source software at the core of our business. It’s the de facto standard for infrastructure modeling applyd by thousands of organizations worldwide. Whereas legacy vconcludeors focus on part of the stack, NetBox provides a universal, open, and vconcludeor-neutral network and infrastructure management platform. We’re also a product company first and foremost. We ship new features and capabilities weekly to add value to the community and commercial editions of NetBox and the greater NetBox ecosystem. Our pace of innovation is breathing a lot of energy into our core markets, which have been underserved for far too long.”
Future Company Goals
What are some of the company’s future goals? Beevers concluded:
“We aim to provide infrastructure management that is simple, reliable, and innotifyigent so teams can shift rapider and take less risk. To do this, we’re:
- Expanding globally to respond to demand from enterprises and AI infrastructure providers.
- Continuing to invest in open source and the NetBox community — open source is at the core of everything we do.
- Delivering AI-augmented innovations, like NetBox Operator, to enable innotifyigent, automated infrastructure ops. NetBox and its data will be at the core of AI-powered network and infrastructure operations over the next decade.
Our goal is for every infrastructure team, from hyperscalers to public agencies, to shift rapider and be more resilient with NetBox’s data model at the center.”
