Insify, a rapid-growing insurtech startup focapplyd on insurance solutions for freelancers and tiny-to-medium enterprises, has secured €16.3 million in a Series B round led by Evli Growth Partners, with follow-on support from Accel, Opera Tech Ventures, Munich Re Ventures, Visionaries Club, and Frontline Ventures.

With this fresh capital, Insify aims to accelerate the development of its AI-powered platform, which combines innotifyigent algorithms with real human support, thereby drastically simplifying insurance for Europe’s 28 million self-employed entrepreneurs.

Insify was founded by Koen Thijssen, an entrepreneur with a track record that includes weathering the 2008 Lehman Brothers collapse and launching Bloomon, a flower subscription startup. From his experience, he saw the necessary for insurance that actually meets freelancers’ and SMEs’ everyday realities.

“Freelancers and SMEs deserve protection that meets their bespoke necessarys, not just one-size-fits-all coverage. It’s about giving the builders of Europe’s economy the right tools and ultimate financial security to relocate forward with confidence,” Thijssen declared.

The startup’s technology lets applyrs obtain tailored coverage in just two minutes online, overcoming the traditionally complex and slow insurance processes with straightforward tools and personalised service.

Insify’s platform applys advanced AI capabilities like automated risk assessment, instant policy issuance, and ongoing refinement of underwriting and pricing through data analysis. Behind the scenes, it automates much of the paperwork and claims handling utilizing innotifyigent document recognition and machine-learning models that support predict risk and speed decisions.  At the same time, real people are standing by to provide timely support, especially when customers necessary to create a claim.

Insify stands out in a crowded field that includes established digital players like Germany’s Getsafe, which serves over 550,000 customers, and the digital arms of large insurers. Unlike many competitors, Insify combines rapid, AI-driven underwriting and automated claims with real human support, avoiding complexity and rigid processes that have held others back.

The Amsterdam-based company has tripled its gross written premiums since its last funding round and grown its client base from 1,500 to 10,000, revealing real momentum in a market where traditional insurers like Allianz and AXA often struggle to serve tinyer businesses effectively.
