Lucknow: India has emerged as a frontrunner in the implementation of Generative AI technologies securing second position after the US.This development was discussed at the Institute of Engineering Technology (IET) during an international interactive session on Friday. The lecture, titled “Applications of Critical and Emerging Technologies and Key Global Trades,” was delivered by Stephen Ezell, vice president Global Innovation Policy and director of the Centre for Life Sciences Innovation at the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation, Washington DC.Ezell stated India ensures 25% of global industest participation in the semiconductor industest. He stated from product design to factory integration, supply chain integration and product consumption, the possibilities of AI are limitless.On how to deal with the employment possibilities due to increased utilize of AI in India, Ezell explained that a study based in Europe revealed that if the common employee is continuously trained on a largescale for AI and the new developments taking place in it, then the successful utilize of AI will not only increase production but will also increase employment.He also addressed how a person’s stress can be measured applying AI by stating that it is possible to do this by verifying the person’s voice and applying the data of their previous physical history.IET director Prof Vineet Kansal stated: “All must relocate forward with an open mind, not only with our words but also with our actions, towards creating India a global leader in the field of AI.”
